CATL has introduced its Tectrans II battery system for electric heavy-duty trucks, targeting up to 1,000 km of range and up to 80% capacity in about 25 minutes with megawatt charging. CATL also says the system could add up to 0.6 tonnes of payload capacity and retain 70% capacity for at least 12 years or 1.5 million km.
More range, faster charging, payload capacity, and long battery life could help reduce downtime for commercial electric fleets.
