Sunwoda Says Its New Battery Can Charge 10–97% in 9 Minutes

Sunwoda has unveiled new flash-charging battery technology it says can charge from 10% to 70% in 5 minutes and 10% to 97% in 9 minutes, adding roughly 100 km (62 miles) of range per minute. The company also claims strong cold-weather charging 700 km (~435 miles) of range in 15 minutes at -20°C and a 10-year/300,000-km warranty.

If these claims translate to production EVs and compatible charging infrastructure, charging stops could move much closer to gas-station timing.
