Tesla Recalls Nearly 20,000 Vehicles Over Headlight Brightness

NHTSA has ordered Tesla to recall 19,900 Model 3 and Model Y vehicles built between 2017 and 2023 because their low-beam headlights exceed federal brightness limits. Tesla said the difference was minor and reported no complaints or incidents, but regulators require a mechanical fix because software alone cannot resolve the issue.

The recall aims to reduce glare that can affect visibility for both Tesla owners and other drivers, especially in rain, fog, or snow.
