Tesla FSD Waits for the Cyclist

Tesla’s Full Self-Driving system demonstrated a safety-focused behavior by holding a right turn while a cyclist passed through the bike lane. Instead of turning immediately, FSD recognized the cyclist’s path, waited for the lane to clear, and then proceeded.

Better anticipation around cyclists and other vulnerable road users could help make autonomous driving safer in complex real-world situations.
