Tesla has officially revealed that the Cybercab will be the first Tesla vehicle with integrated Starlink, as shown on a display model at the Santana Row showroom. The 1–2 passenger robotaxi features no steering wheel, pedals, or mirrors, using autonomous driving while providing high-speed satellite connectivity for entertainment and productivity through its center screen.
Built-in Starlink could provide more reliable connectivity for autonomous driving features and improve the passenger experience, even in areas with limited cellular coverage.
So… my future ride might lose cell signal before it loses Wi-Fi. That’s a plot twist I wasn’t expecting.
