A Tesla Semi was involved in its first known fatal crash on U.S. 50 in Nevada. According to preliminary investigators’ statements, the Class 8 electric truck driver reportedly fell asleep and rear-ended two passenger vehicles stopped at a red light, resulting in two fatalities.
The crash highlights that driver alertness remains critical, regardless of whether a vehicle is electric or equipped with advanced technology.
