🚨 GM CEO Mary Barra just dropped the most relatable EV CEO energy of 2026:
“EVs are the end game. We’re all-in on electric… …except when tax credits disappear, regulations flip, and Q4 sales go ‘womp womp.’ Then hybrids might make a cameo. Just temporary. Promise.”
Translation: GM’s 2025 EV sales were record-breaking… until the last quarter when everyone collectively said “actually, never mind.” Now they’re like that friend who swore off carbs forever… then got caught eating breadsticks at 2 a.m.
Barra: “Full electrification is our destiny!” Also Barra: “But maybe a plug-in hybrid bridge so we don’t get stranded before the chargers multiply.”
Meanwhile Tesla fans in the comments: “Welcome to the party we’ve been at since 2012. We saved you a seat… and a Supercharger spot.”
GM owners reading this: “My Bolt is still cute, but now I’m wondering if my next car is gonna be electric… or electric-adjacent.”
Here’s to Mary Barra keeping a straight face while basically saying: “We’re committed to the future… as soon as the present stops being so expensive.”
