Tesla and Google just teamed up to birth “Utilize” — the new energy coalition that’s basically saying:

“Hey America, your power grid is sitting around at 53% utilization like a teenager on summer break… maybe let’s make it do something useful before AI data centers and EV charging turn it into a sweaty nervous breakdown.”

Their plan:

  • Squeeze more juice out of the wires we already have
  • Stop pretending we need to build 47 new power plants every time someone wants to train a bigger chatbot
  • Save consumers >$100 billion over the next decade
  • All while Elon and Sundar smile for the cameras like they just invented sliced bread

Meanwhile your average utility company reading the press release: “We were gonna spend $2 trillion on new transmission lines… but now we have to pretend we knew about ‘efficiency’ all along.”

Translation for normal humans: Your next electricity bill might not feel like a personal attack. Wild concept, I know.

As a Tesla lover this hits different: My car already charges for pennies at home… now the whole country might get to feel that smug “my energy is smarter than yours” energy too.

Who else is ready for the era where the grid finally stops acting like it’s 1995?
