NVIDIA’s Director of Robotics just gave Tesla FSD v14 the ultimate compliment:
“It has passed the physical Turing test.”
Translation: Tesla’s car now drives so much like a human that even other robots are fooled.
- Smooth lane changes? Check.
- Natural hesitation at weird intersections? Check.
- Randomly deciding to merge at the last possible second while pretending it was planned all along? Double check.
Basically, FSD v14 has learned to drive like your cousin who swears he’s “a very confident driver” but everyone in the car is quietly holding the door handle.
NVIDIA guy: “It’s indistinguishable from human behavior.” Tesla owners: “Yeah… that explains the phantom braking when it sees a plastic bag it thinks is a toddler.”
Next milestone: FSD learns to tailgate, flip people off through tinted windows, and scream “I’M GOING!” at green lights it’s already ignoring.
We’re officially in the era where AI drives worse than humans… but exactly like them. Progress?
Who’s ready for Robotaxis that also know every curse word in traffic?
