Mazda’s CEO, Masahiro Moro, says the company’s slower adoption of electric vehicles in the US is all part of the plan. According to Moro, customers want affordability and reliability over electrification. “They are still looking for a reliable internal combustion engine,” he said.

Mazda is taking it slow, focusing on what customers want now, rather than rushing into new tech. But don’t worry, Mazda plans to roll out its next-gen EV battery… in about six years!
